Band Messages

AGM has now been and gone and our new committee is in place.

Gabrielle Horne sent this message for all members of the band after being our guest conductor for the annual concert.

"Thankyou to everyone who took part in the concert. As a conductor and "musician" I was amazed at how you pulled it off. I felt proud and honoured to work with you and felt that you all gave 100% on the night (and more).
OK there were a few slips, but that's live music for you. I have heard only favourable comments and I was particularly pleased that a member of the audience thought that the cornets sounded like cornets...as you will know that is a little bee in my bonnet.
I'm sorry if I did not mention everyone individually, but perhaps you were glad!
I especially want to thank the main guys (committee) for getting it all organised....I know what a headache it can be.

I was delighted to be reunited with ex-pupils and to meet some new faces. Thankyou for asking me - I had a great time.

Hard though it may be, keep it going - IT'S WORTH IT!

I wish you all the very best this year, whether working, studying or just dossing around (like me).
I would always be pleased to hear from any. my e-mail is gabrielle@gmhmd.force9.co.uk"
